Janitorial Worker

Role:

Under general supervision, perform a wide variety of custodial duties in order to provide a clean, orderly and safe environment; and perform related work as required.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Must be able to lift approximately sixty pounds.

· Must be able to perform task with written instructions.

· Must follow WLC maintenance dress code

Examples of duties:

· Performs routine custodial work such as: vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and spot cleaning carpets; removing trash in accordance with established procedures; cleaning, disinfecting and stocking paper and supplies in restrooms, classrooms and other facilities as required.

· Schedules, coordinates and perform routine and comprehensive custodial maintenance of assigned facilities.

· Reports and responds to emergency calls for custodial assistance.

· Maintains inventory and submits written requests for supplies.

· Removes trash in accordance with established procedures.

· Cleans and disinfects restrooms, classrooms and kitchen, stocks facilities with paper and supplies.

· Identifies stains and uses proper chemicals for removal.

· Taking trash to dumpster several times a day.

· Ensure that all cleaning supplies and tools are safely locked out of the reach of children.

· Cleaning playgrounds daily using proper equipment.

· Responsible for staying busy and actively looking for areas that need attention. There is no idle time

*Carry out other duties as assigned by the Director or Designee.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
