Janitorial Supervisor, 3rd Shift
Job Description Summary
The Janitorial Supervisor is responsible for the supervision, inspection, and control of all custodial and related services associated within assigned contract. Specific responsibilities for Janitorial Supervisor will be determined by client expectations, account manager discretion, and Janitorial Supervisor capabilities and experience.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Adhere to Scope of Work
  • Immediately report onsite safety incidents and concerns
  • Maintain consistent supply stock by working with Office team to ensure consistent ordering
  • Assisting with hiring of new applicants
  • Provide training and guidance to janitorial staff
  • On -Time completion and submission of required documents & Key Performance Indicators
  • Dispatching and verifying service discrepancies are corrected on-time
  • Attending meetings at the discretion of management

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Properly allocate work responsibilities among subordinates. Counsels, coaches, and supervises all janitorial staff.
  • Knowledge of contract requirements with client
  • Knowledge of contract requirements with union
  • Working with management to create and maintain schedules
  • Approves vacation and time sheets. Works with direct manager to approve overtime
  • Adhere to company policy and processes

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES, if any:
  • Coordinate with client as needed to resolve areas of improvement
  • Facilitate site cleaning projects as needed
  • Maintain document communication with management via email or though work order system
  • Regular onsite inspections ensuring satisfactory contract of service
  • Handle emergency situations in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensures all equipment in proper working condition
  • Perform any additional duties on an "as required" basis where such duties are within the scope of contractual responsibilities

REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Education and/or Experience):
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, responsiveness, attention to detail and excellent follow-through
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and experience working closely with contractors, vendors, suppliers
  • Minimum of two years of recent experience in working supervision of custodial and related employees performing cleaning functions in major facilities
  • Must have general hands-on knowledge of both routine nightly and daytime facility cleaning and related services
  • Must possess adequate knowledge of technical skills and techniques required by this contract and will be able to recognize circumstances under which cleaning techniques may be hazardous to the facility or personnel
  • High School education or equivalent preferred
  • Must read, write, and speak the English language, bilingual preferred

Employee must be able to operate equipment including riding machines. Employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate's experience and qualifications.
The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
The compensation for the position is: $55,250.00 - $65,000.00
