Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Able to pass a Background Check which will include Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry
- Skill in general maintenance and property upkeep
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Demonstrate a positive attitude, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate with the general public in a courteous manner.
- Responsive, detail oriented.
- Ability to work individually and as a team player.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Abide by The Salvation Army Employee Handbook, policies, and memos.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of all private and public areas.
- Responsible: Dusting, sweeping, mopping, waxing floors, window cleaning, vacuuming, waste disposal, and the cleaning/sanitization of restrooms according to need and/or the established schedule.
- Maintain an orderly custodial and supply area.
- Multipurpose building including chapel, small classrooms, kitchen, business offices, etc.
- Maintain supply inventory and request replacement supplies as necessary.
- Maintain safety standards, reporting hazards or concerns to Supervisor.
- Other written or verbal duties as may be assigned by Supervisor which may include Assisting in unloading vehicles, onsite services in pest prevention and property upkeep, warehouse processing, furniture cleaning, hanging clothing, ride-along helper on deliveries, and/or stocking or storage of Store product.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
- Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, clothing carts, merchandise carts, rolling clothing racks, fixtures, furniture dollies, platform trucks and carts, hand trucks and miscellaneous carts.
- Ability to operate a telephone.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks.
