POSITION SUMMARY

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

KEY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Change light bulbs and notifies maintenance manager of major repairs.

Order and maintains stock levels of janitorial supplies.

Keep office and manufacturing facilities in a clean and orderly condition.

Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum hallways, stairs, and office spaces.

Wash windows in office areas.

Empty trash and garbage containers.

Transport trash and waste to disposal area.

Clean and sanitize restroom facilities.

Replenish restroom supplies.

Maintain building performing minor painting, plumbing, and other related maintenance activities.

Clean snow and debris from sidewalks.

Salt parking areas and walkways as needed.

Keep parking lots and yard clean of trash and other debris.

Cut grass, trims bushes and performs other gardening duties.

Order and maintain stock levels of janitor supplies.

Strip, mop, and wax tile floors as necessary.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Obey all safety rules, regulations, and policies.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

Less than high school; or one month or more related experience or training; or equivalent combination of

education and experience.

Regularly required to stand for long periods; use hands to finger, handle, or feel, objects, tools, or controls;

reach with hands and arms.

Good hand -eye coordination is essential.

Occasionally required to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Must work near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to heat.

Occasionally work outside in extreme weather conditions.

The noise level is usually loud.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Write simple sentences.

Apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Add, subtract, multiply, and divide, in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions,

and decimals.
