Janitor / Custodial Technician

Lapeer Plating & Plastics, Inc., The Premier Manufacturer of Class A, High-Visibility Automotive Components, is seeking highly motivated, team players, possessing a continuous improvement mindset, to join our team as a Janitor / Custodial Tech.

Summary: The Custodian is responsible for keeping the corporate office and plant restrooms and breakroom areas of LP+P's manufacturing facility clean and orderly. Performs heavy cleaning duties, including cleaning floors, vacuuming rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. Disinfecting Restroom and breakroom areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Cleans, mops/vacuums corporate offices, front lobby, conference rooms, restrooms and kitchens areas
• Cleans, mops/vacuums manufacturing area offices, restrooms, breakroom and entrance areas clean
• Dusts and damp mops floors following approved procedures.
• Cleans and Disinfects Restroom and Break room areas.
• Replaces paper towel, toilet tissue, soap and accessories in restrooms
• Cleaning windows as directed
• Cleans assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment. Sanitize all surfaces.
• Washes walls, windows, furniture, baseboards and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
• Seeks out areas requiring cleaning; takes initiative to complete the task.
• May salt, sweep or shovel entrance areas to the front office and manufacturing areas
• May water and maintain indoor and outdoor plants
• Completes all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Strips, scrubs, buffs, and refinish floors, shampoos carpet.
• Maintain inventory or cleaning products and supplies
• Contributes to the team; exhibits professionalism with customers, fellow employees, and others.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age
• Must adhere to all safe work procedures
• All positions require constant movement, continuous standing, excellent attention to detail and basic math skills.
• Must Have Reliable Transportation
• Must be able to report to work without any absences for the 60-day probationary period
