`JANITORIAL SERVICE/CUSTODIAN
ROLE:
Provide scheduled and emergency cleaning for the campus buildings.Provide trauma-informed, culturally sensitive therapeutic intervention within scope of practice.
AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:
The interior and exterior of all buildings on campus. Serves to role model the use of ARC principles.
TO WHOM IMMEDIATELY RESPONSIBLE:Physical Plant Supervisor
DUTIES:
1. Window cleaning on all buildings
2. Wash exterior walls and remove spider webs
3. Cleaning and restock restrooms in the public area
4. Carpet cleaning and Floor cleaning
5. Daily inspection and cleaning of public buildings and areas
6. Organize and distribute cleaning supplies to building store rooms
7. Clean Pool deck, shower, bathroom and changing room
8. Pick up trash found on the campus
9. Assist maintenance personal with two person lifts or special projects
10. Operate an orbital floor scrubber
11. Remain curious, objective, and professional with respect for the client when addressing behaviors and utilizing effective responses.
12. Additional responsibilities as assigned
MISCELLANEOUS DUTIES:
1. Replacing detergent chemicals in dorm laundry rooms.
2. Restocking supplies for Tuesday and Thursday night supply run.
3. Cleaning daily around kitchen area, cardboard area, trash area, and front of Rancho.
4. Cleaning dining hall floors.
5. Removing cobwebs from buildings.
6. Replacing outside floor mats (every six months).
7. Cleaning gutters with Renee (seasonal).
8. Allied responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor or Administrative team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. One-year experience if Janitorial capacity.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
In the course of performing this job, the incumbent must be able to lift heavy objects and be able to interrupt physical altercations. Will also require bending, stooping, filing, frequent sitting, twisting, typing, talking, hearing and repetitive motions. Occasional traveling, driving, walking, standing, grasping, pulling, pushing, and reaching.
