Job Description
We have an immediate contract opportunity providing Jamf / Apple Systems Engineer support Mon - Fri, 8am to 5pm. This job assignment is scheduled to begin following a satisfactory background screening and will run for approximately 3 months with opportunity to extend.
Responsibilities:
- Assesses the feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and functionality of existing integrations, automation options, and proposed solutions, collaborating with internal departments for insights.
- Designs, reviews, and implements updates and enhancements to existing systems, software, and operating systems for improved performance.
- Installs, configures, tests, and maintains operating systems, software, and systems management tools to ensure optimal functionality.
- Analyzes the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems. Develops and executes strategies to improve performance and maximize their value.
- Collaborates on configuration designs to support diverse business needs within the end-user computing environment.
- Tracks and analyzes system performance, generating comprehensive reports to inform decision-making. Mentors and delegates tasks to System Engineers, promoting team development.
Requirements:
- Requires at least 8 years of relevant experience in system administration, system engineering, computer programming, or similar fields.
- Proven track record in designing, developing, and implementing software systems and applications, ideally with a focus on infrastructure systems (end-user devices, servers, and cloud configuration/optimization).
- Certifications in PowerShell, Intune, and Apple JAMF Certified Associate are preferred. Equivalent practical experience with these tools is also highly valued.
- Demonstrates strong PowerShell scripting skills, expertise in Group Policy Object distribution, and experience in deploying Office 365.
- Ability to create clear communications, reports, proposals, and presentations utilizing data visualization tools.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong understanding of systems planning, security principles, and best practices in software and hardware management.
