Salary Range:    $24.60 - $37.19 Hourly
Description

Summary:

This position is responsible for providing case management services to adults determined to have a serious and persistent mental illness which impedes adequate functioning in one or more of the following areas:  school, work, community, family, and interpersonal relationships and are at risk of incarceration.  Targeted consumers for case management services include individuals who have been identified by law enforcement as at risk for incarceration; or are post incarceration and are identified as at risk for community reintegration.    Additional case management duties may be assigned to complete full-time workload.  

 

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS: This is a Masters level position and a degree in social work or psychology is preferred. Bachelor level candidates with job specific experience may be considered. Appropriate MI licensure as a LMSW, LBSW, LLMSW, LLBSW, TLLP, LLP, or LPC is required. One year experience working with adults with serious mental illness is required; two years is preferred. A minimum of one year court experience; knowledge of court process is preferred. Full licensure and SUD credentialing preferred.

Other Competencies and Abilities:

Ability to work in a complex, detail-oriented, deadline structured busy organization. The following physical and mental abilities are required: frequent lifting or carrying up to 15 pounds, must be able to hear, frequent standing/walking going up and down stairs due to community outreach basis, ability to communicate effectively in person and/or phone, the ability to read, analyze and interpret information, ability to write reports, correspondence and procedures, ability to maintain consumer charts/records, ability to remain impartial during investigative procedures, ability to solve practical problems, ability to define problems, collect data, establish

facts and draw valid conclusions, ability to influence others, and the ability to conduct patient assessments and treatment. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word and such other applications if/when required. Ability to be trained and successfully complete other computer training as required. Valid driver’s license, proof of current automobile insurance and driving record determined by the Authority’s insurance carrier to be eligible for coverage if required as part of positions duties.
