Responsibilities:
Duties of this job include, but are not limited to:
- Serves as the Teacher of Record for non-public and homeschool students in the corporation and/or additional buildings as assigned.
- Works with non-public schools staff to provide intervention for students in their RTI process.
- Consults with teachers, staff, and parents on accommodations and modification of the general education curriculum based upon a variety of instructional techniques and technologies.
- Plans and writes individual educational plans and Service Plans (for non-public and homeschool students) designed to meet student's needs and conform to state and federal laws.
- Progress monitors goals of students on caseload.
- Confers with parents, administrators, school psychologists, social workers, and professionals to develop individual educational plans designed to promote students' educational, physical, and social development.
- Participates in all appropriate Case Conference meetings.
- Follows legal requirements as dictated by state and federal statutes.
- Instructs individuals and groups in Special Education skill areas as required.
- Plans curriculum, lessons, and Special Education programs and teaching methods as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
