Summary
Position Purpose:Provide technical and administrative direction to the Mainframe System Programming and Operational Teams to support and achieve development of new systems and the maintenance and enhancements of operational systems.

- Responsible for recruiting and hiring, coaching and mentoring, monitoring and evaluation, and addressing all disciplinary issues in a timely manner. Encourage staff in creating and maintaining a work environment with high morale and employee satisfaction through support of professional development, training, career growth, and rewarding high performance.
- Coordinate activities through direct and indirect staff.
- Participate in budgeting and capital equipment processes and quality improvement activities.
- Meet scheduled milestones to ensure project/program objectives are met in a timely manner.
To Qualify for This Position, You'll Need:
Required Education:
- Bachelor's Degree
Degree Equivalency:
- 4 years job related work experience or
- Associate's and 2 years job related work experience.
- (Equivalency not applicable for the Celerian Group. Bachelor's degree required.)
Required Work Experience:
- 7 years of related job IT experience.
- Prior team lead, supervisor, or management experience OR equivalent military experience in grade E4 of above (may be concurrent).
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Thorough technical knowledge of the capabilities of available hardware and software resources.
- Demonstrated flexibility for adapting to both changing business, technical and client needs.
- A complete understanding of the systems life cycle, as defined in the ISSM.
- In-depth knowledge of the principles, theories, practices, and techniques for managing activities related to planning, managing, and implementing software projects/programs.
Required Software and Other Tools:
- Standard office equipment.

- z/OS and components knowledge
