THE JOB

The IT Systems Manager will be responsible for transforming business objectives into tangible configurations, policies, and security practices as they relate to users, content, and systems integrations. IT Systems Manager will securely and efficiently enable collaboration, communication, and data access across all platforms.


This role is part of a team that operates as the primary support for our internal users and encompasses a diverse technology stack that includes Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, GCP, Amazon AWS, etc. If you work well in a fast-paced, energizing environment, lead with a security-first mindset, have excellent communication, administrative, and technical skills, multi-task under pressure, and are self-motivated. AS A WORKER, YOU WILL:

  • Lead and facilitate agency rollout of custom solutions that integrate Google Workspace and other SAS platforms.
  • Partner with other functions to evaluate, prioritize, and resolve new issues and problem scenarios.
  • Take ownership of the overall Google Workspace account management process and other IT SAS platforms.
  • Develop new system processes and improve existing ones for efficient Google Workspace account lifecycle management.
  • Configure and manage Google Workspace services, including mail delivery, routing, and filtering.
  • Administer and manage publishing and revocating apps and extensions within the enterprise mobile and Chrome app stores.
  • Perform new application provisioning and application lifecycle management.
  • Support the IT team as an escalation resource for Google Workspace, identity, access management, and two-factor authentication issues.
  • Work closely with third-party Service desk providers to promptly identify, track, report, and resolve issues.
  • Implement Mobile Device Management policies for business and operations networks. Implementing IT best practices.
  • Work to maintain the infrastructure and offer a highly secure, reliable, and compliant environment.
  • Be an individual contributor


AS FOR EXPERIENCE, YOU NEED:

  • Experience as a Google Workspace Admin to support the following applications: Google Workspace, Office 365, Slack, and Airtable.
  • Must demonstrate strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to apply new technologies, concepts, & functionality to solve problems and implement solutions.
  • Strong fundamentals in networking protocols and troubleshooting
  • Ability to design, plan, and implement processes relating to the IT environment.
  • Strong familiarity with Mac and Windows operating systems
  • Familiarity managing Google Licenses and configurations 
  • Professional Google Workspace Administrator Certification 
  • Working knowledge in VPN setup and maintenance
  • One or more desired: CompTIA (A+, Cloud+, Security+), ITIL, PMP, ACSP
  • Experience in application development or enterprise architecture
  • Experience in IT Standards and Best Practices ITIL, ISO, COBIT
  • Experience in hosted Services and Cloud predicting the performance of complex systems
  • Experience working with databases


WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Using standard office equipment, computers, and related technology.
  • Certain activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse.
  • Bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 25 pounds.
  • Position may occasionally travel within the United States; Off-hours / Weekend coverage as necessary.
  • Thesis operates using a flexible hybrid model (i.e., work occurs remotely and in the office, as needed). Employees should consult their department Director or Head for specific team frameworks, protocols, and guidelines.


REMOTE OFFICE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have access to an internet connection
  • Must have access to at least 100 Mbps internet with download speeds of 12.5 MB/second.
