JOB PURPOSE:
The Sr. Business Analyst - MFG OPS will support corporate initiatives and business practices by providing a business system the supports Rust-Oleum's internal and external requirements and achievement of the revenue plan and providing effective system modification and support to facilitate control and decision making.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Typical tasks for this position include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Current with trends and technology across the digital manufacturing landscape.
- Maintains existing system functionality while initiates new SAP features and other software applications.
- Enhancement of SAP installation (hotpacks, projects, upgrades).
- Writes and maintains system documentation in accordance with Rust-Oleum I.T. standards.
- Provide staff and users with assistance solving software related problems.
- Attends educational workshops; reviews professional publications; establishes personal networks; benchmarks state-of-the-art practices; participates in professional societies.
- Utilizes project management skills includes but not limited to development of detailed project plans, scope and design documents, issue tracking tools, adherence to project management and upper management communication.
- Communicates issues, concerns and problems to supervisors and team members. Work in a respectful manner with both internal and external partners.
- Consult with management to ensure agreement on system principles.
- Confer with clients regarding the nature of the information processing or computation needs a software program is to address.
- Read manuals, periodicals, and technical reports to learn how to develop functionality that meets staff and user requirements.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Required job knowledge and skills:
- Demonstrated configuration skills in designated SAP module, including go live and post implementation support
- Thorough understanding of the impact of an integrated system on the business processes
- Strong time management skills and multi-tasking capabilities as demonstrated by completion of tasks in compliance with deadlines
- Strong analytical skills as demonstrated by troubleshooting and end user support in a post go live environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Self motivated with ability to play differing roles on functional team
- Qualifications or previous experience (BFOQ):
- Degree in Information Systems, relevant business discipline or equivalent experience
- 6+ years SAP configuration including, resulting in an implementation.
- Computers and Electronics - Knowledge of computer software, including applications.
- English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
- Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Mathematics - Knowledge of arithmetic, and its application to this role.
- Engineering and Technology - Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
- Administration and Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques , and coordination of people and resources.
