Senior It Auditor

Are you eager to advance your career in IT auditing? We are seeking a dynamic and seasoned Senior IT Auditor to join our team, playing a pivotal role in safeguarding the security and integrity of our organization's technological infrastructure.

Responsibilities include leading and executing comprehensive audits of our IT infrastructure, systems, and processes, identifying areas for improvement, and providing strategic recommendations to bolster our overall security posture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct a minimum of four IT audits annually, including at least two integrated audits.
• Address various subject areas such as data governance, solution development, infrastructure management, and cloud financial operations.
• Lead side projects, such as reviewing external security assessments and conducting validation testing.
• Participate in risk assessment activities and provide support for administrative tasks within the team.
• Collaborate on the development of integrated risk assessment approaches and audit universes.
• Lead and execute IT audits in line with established standards and protocols, encompassing planning, fieldwork, and reporting phases.
• Evaluate the design and effectiveness of IT controls to mitigate risks related to cybersecurity, data privacy, and operational integrity.
• Assess the adequacy of IT policies, procedures, and processes, identifying areas for enhancement to align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct interviews, walkthroughs, and testing of IT systems and applications to pinpoint vulnerabilities and weaknesses in security controls.
• Document audit findings, observations, and recommendations concisely for presentation to senior management and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, and risk management, to drive continuous improvement initiatives and address control deficiencies.
• Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and regulatory developments in the IT audit and cybersecurity landscape to inform audit strategies and methodologies.
• Mentor and guide junior auditors, fostering their professional growth and development.

Key Skill Sets:

• External audit experience, preferably from a "Big 4" firm in a "Risk Advisory" role.
• Adaptability across various projects or audits, demonstrating versatility.
• Proficiency in diverse technologies, including systems, databases, applications, servers, and network equipment.
• Strong financial or accounting background, complementing expertise in IT and information security.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting, or a related field. Professional certification (CISA, CISSP, CISM, etc.) preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT auditing, risk management, or cybersecurity, with a track record of leading and executing complex audits.
• Understanding of IT governance frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ITIL), regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX, GDPR, HIPAA), and industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO/IEC 27001).
• Technical proficiency in assessing IT infrastructure, network security, application controls, and emerging technologies (e.g., cloud computing, IoT, AI).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
