It Security Engineer

We are currently seeking a dedicated IT Security Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

Ø Lead the initiative to implement security frameworks such as FedRAMP and NIST for the organization – create documentation, implement policies, procedures, and change controls, implement security controls where necessary to conform to the framework.

Ø Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as PCI and GDPR

Ø Oversee and coordinate patching schedule for Linux, Windows, network, infrastructure, and BMS teams.

Ø Stay current with evolving cybersecurity industry, emerging threats, and advise teams accordingly.

Ø Conduct routine assessments and perform hardening of Linux and Windows servers, LANs, and WANs, or other IT infrastructure

Ø Perform deep analysis of network traffic to identify where security controls would be helpful to reduce exposure

Ø Research, procure, implement and maintain security hardware and software such as WAFs, SIEM, IDS, firewalls, etc.

Ø Proactively monitor the environment and online security resources to help detect and mitigate cyber-attacks before they occur

Ø In event of a breach or attack, preform root cause analysis and recommend actions for remediation and prevention

Ø Manage engagements with third party contractors if outside assistance is required

Ø Assess new security technology to determine potential value for the enterprise

Ø Develop training programs to educate end-users

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related field

Minimum 5 years IT experience covering a variety of disciplines.

Minimum 5 years of experience in a cybersecurity-specific role

Must have experience administering Linux or Windows servers

Must have experience with security frameworks and standards

In-depth knowledge of security protocols and principles

Critical thinking skills and ability to solve complex problems
