About the role:
As an IT Security Engineer your primary responsibility will be to implement and maintain robust security solutions to safeguard INVIDI's infrastructure, systems and data from potential cyber threats and attacks. You will play a critical role in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of critical information and resources, while staying up to date with emerging security threats and technologies. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will assess security risks, deploy security measures, and respond to incidents to maintain a secure and compliant environment.
The position will report directly to the Information Security Manager and will be based in out of our Princeton, NJ office.
Key responsibilities:

  • Implement, configure, install, and deploy security solutions ensuring proper integration with existing systems and infrastructure
  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement security measures in alignment with best practices and industry standards
  • Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and coordinate penetration testing with third party organizations to identify weaknesses in the organization's systems and applications. Analyze the results and propose remediation strategies
  • Develop and execute incident response plans to handle security breaches, cyber-attacks, and other security incidents effectively Coordinate with the Incident Response team to mitigate the impact and prevent future occurrences
  • Implement and maintain security monitoring tools and systems to detect and respond to security threats in real-time
  • Analyze security logs and events to identify potential security incidents or breaches
  • Stay up to date on the latest security trends, threats, and technologies
  • Continuously evaluate and recommend new security solutions to enhance the organization's overall security posture
  • Maintain accurate documentation of security configurations, processes, and procedures for future reference and auditing purposes
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, development, operations, and management, to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to security

You must have:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CompTIA Security+/Network+/A+, or CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) are desirable
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing security solutions, preferably in an enterprise- level environment
  • Strong knowledge of network security, firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, encryption, authentication protocols, and security best practices
  • Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and compliance standards, as well as Azure and AI technologies
  • Experience with security assessment tools and techniques, including vulnerability scanning and penetration testing
  • Proficiency in programming and scripting languages to automate security tasks is a plus
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong ethical mindset and commitment to upholding the confidentiality of sensitive information

Physical requirements:
  • INVIDI is a conscious, clean, well-organized, and supportive office.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer are normal.
