What you'll be doing:

The IT Security Analyst I role is an entry-level position within the IT security team. This position is responsible for assisting with implementing and maintaining security measures to safeguard the organization's information systems and data. This role is responsible for learning and gaining experience in securing an international hybrid network. An IT Security Analyst requires basic knowledge of IT infrastructure, security practices, risk management, and customer service.
- Serve as the first point of contact for IT security concerns, while fostering a safe and secure environment. This responsibility includes providing direct support to IT groups for security-related issues.
- Monitor security events daily and perform investigations, working with the appropriate teams.
- Support fellow analysts in investigating and assessing security incidents and anomalies.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze system logs and other logs to detect and respond to security incidents.
- Provide support during internal and external security audits, assisting in gathering the necessary documentation.
- Assist in the management and configuration of basic firewall and intrusion prevention systems.
- Contribute to maintaining security documentation, including policies, procedures, and incident reports.
- Support vulnerability assessment activities, including scanning systems and troubleshooting, to identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
- Assist in monitoring and applying security patches and updates to systems as needed.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining endpoint security solutions, including documenting and remediating incidents, maintaining USB device control, and assisting in device firewall setup.
- Help manage user access and password policies to ensure security.
- Collaborate on security-related projects under the guidance of senior team members.
- Assist in detecting, responding to, and protecting the corporate enterprise from cyber-attacks, intrusion attempts, and security breaches.
- Assist in the maintenance of the corporate-wide security awareness and training program.
- Generate basic security reports for review by senior team members.
- Participate in penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities.

What we are looking for:
- High School Diploma.
- Bachelor's degree or relevant certifications a plus.
- Proven experience in IT security, including hands-on experience with security technologies and tools.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols and operating systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
