Job description

What we are looking for:
We are looking for a Risk and Resiliency professional, Associate Vice President to join our SSGA IT Risk and Resilience Team to provide support in developing or maintaining governance for a variety of relationships and from there, the identification and management of potential risks and remediation for gaps in the Risk and Regulatory environment.
SSGA IT has a wide variety of service provider relationships with our SSGA Legal Entities Role which require solid Project Management skills leveraged in a variety of situations with the ability to establish key reporting in PowerPoint, excel or other tools within State Street Global Advisor (SSGA). Additionally SSGA IT receives services, and requires oversight and reporting as well.
What you will be responsible for:
Reporting to the Regulatory Risk and Resilience lead, you will also be responsible for providing reporting on the Service provider and Service recipient governance models, which may require developing and maintaining relationships with relevant key internal stakeholders. This role will ask you to provide expertise or seek SME support in understanding and developing these relationships , thought leadership and deep analytical skills which will allow the role to be responsible for supporting regulatory engagements/exams, Outsourcing oversight Risk Assessments (ORAD) and similar activities.
In addition, the candidate should be prepared to be a strong-multi tasker and support other Regulatory activities.
Why this role is important to us:
The role requires a solid understanding of technology and contractual oversight as SSGA IT is a service provider to SSGA Legal Entities globally. The role will also focus on upcoming regulations which may have impact to SSGA IT, including participating in Business Impact Analysis which will define specifically the SSGA IT Impact.
The role sits within the SSGA IT Technology and Transformation organization, located in Boston, MA.
As IT Risk and Resilience; Regulatory AVP, you will:
  • Develop strong operational and regulatory subject matter expertise relevant to their areas of accountability (Technology Resilience, Regulatory Obligations, Corporate Policy)
  • Provide accountability for managing Service Level Agreements (SLA) and supporting metrics associated.
  • Supporting Regional Compliance and SSGA Business executives in Oversight Reviews of SSGA IT provided technology support.
  • Gaining familiarity with the regulatory entities and supporting examinations both scheduled and ad hoc

Education & Preferred Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree in business, law, finance or similar experience
  • 3–5 year experience in Asset Management business or Financial Services, Legal, Compliance field
  • Project Management certificate or similar experience is preferred
