Job Description

Hi there!

We’re on a mission to outperform our industry peers and we’re looking for just the right person to join our Information Technology (IT) and Productivity Team.

We're looking for a junior or seasoned IT professional interested in making a meaningful impact on our rapidly growing, but small company.

This person’s primary responsibility will be to partner with the The Closet Butler to achieve and maintain NIST 800-171 compliance and Level 2 Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC).

Anyone interested in tackling this project — with help from dedicated consultant support — should apply. This is an exciting chance to grow or showcase your expertise, make a significant impact, and be rewarded commensurately with expanded responsibility and opportunities as our company grows.

Any individuals with a strong base of knowledge, a demonstrated willingness to learn, and a high level of persistence should apply.

If the idea of leading the charge to harden our cybersecurity posture appeals to you, then please continue reading!

About You
* You enjoy operating independently to solve problems your way (the right way). The idea of charting your own course and rapidly assuming key responsibilities is exciting to you.
* You like the idea of filling a role where you will be counted on to help drive the design and build the underpinnings of a burgeoning enterprise-level cybersecurity architecture (all built on Google Workspace – we are a 100% cloud-first company with zero on-premise networks).
* You are comfortable with and thrive in ambiguous environments because this allows you to do things differently or smarter than you’ve seen others do in the past. When you’re not sure of the answer, you’re unafraid to say so or, to persist until you’ve found the right solution.
* You are excited to leverage your experience, grit, and problem-solving capabilities to make a huge impact on a small but mature startup (we’ve been around for a full decade!) and grow with a company currently doubling in size.

Things You Will Do

* Serve as the SysAdmin for our Google Workspace and other SaaS-based productivity and security software accounts.
* Serve primarily as the company’s IT Manager and also as the Department Lead in the Chief Productivity Officer’s absence.

Success In this Role

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced CMMC consultants who will support you in areas where you may lack immediate capabilities or experience.
So whether you’re a seasoned or a more junior IT professional, your experience, or desire to grow, in each of the following areas will be the keys to your success in this role:

* A solid mix of technical security skills and a keen understanding of risk management, policies, and compliance standards. While certifications such as CISSP, CISM, and CEH are valuable, we are interested in self-starters who are motivated to learn and grow within our organization.
* Familiarity implementing security controls in the Google Workspace (GWS) environment, involving configuring and managing security features and services such as Gmail security settings, Drive encryption, Cloud Identity-Aware Proxy, Security Center, Security Health Analytics, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
* An ability to effectively communicate the benefits and risks of using GWS, implemented security controls, incident responses, and compliance requirements.
* Knowledge of encryption, role-based access controls, authentication mechanisms, and other technical safeguards is desired, along with the ability to develop and follow an incident response plan.
* Familiarity with DFARS and handling of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) for the Department of Defense (DoD).
* Familiarity with audit and accountability requirements, including activity audits and protection of audit data, and the ability to utilize GWS logging, monitoring, and alert capabilities to meet these requirements.

A Great Fit

We’re looking for someone with a desire to be challenged, grow with our organization, and help us scale our business technology solutions!

The right person will be an unknown-but-lethal mix of capabilities and experience, motivation, willingness to learn, desire to lead others, relevant practical experience.

Benefits
* 401(k) retirement plan
* Full medical care benefits package including an employer-funded Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) plan
* Paid training and professional development
* Company-provided life insurance
* Short-term & long-term disability
* Unlimited PTO

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation package:
* Yearly pay

Schedule:
* Monday to Friday
* No nights

People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply

Work Location: Remote (USA ONLY)
