Job Description
Position Summary:
The IT Project Administrator provides project management, operational, and administrative support to the project team, sponsor, project manager and IT team members. The role will focus on specific deliverables, parts of projects, and/or sub-projects with scheduling, organizing, data gathering, progress updating, recordkeeping, and reporting. The IT Project Administrator will report directly to the Director, IT.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Support the Business Systems Software Manager and IT Team by coordinating project management activities, project resources, and information related to departmental mission critical projects and initiatives.
· Work with the Business Systems Software Manager and IT Team Members to ensure timely completion of project tasks.
· Create and maintain comprehensive project plans, project budgets and project status reports.
· Assist in the creation and maintenance of IT Standard Operating Procedures and training materials.
· Follow-up with stakeholders to ensure needs are met as projects evolve.
· Review departmental budget spending and assist with monthly Budget vs Actual analysis.
· At the direction of IT Team members, create and submit requisition forms for proper approvals.
· Assist IT Team members in creating and publishing periodic Manufacturing and Sales Metrics.
· Schedule, participate in and maintain meeting notes for project specific meetings.
Minimum Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or B.S.) in field of computer science and/or project management from a four-year College/University is required. Master’s Degree in relevant field preferred.
· Professional Certifications (PMP) preferred.
· Minimum of five years’ experience supporting enterprise Business Software Projects.
· Experience in project management, from conception to delivery, preferably as a Project Coordinator.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Microsoft Planner, Visio and Microsoft O365 a must.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with personnel at all levels.
· Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
· Must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision.
· Extremely detail oriented.
· Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
· Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management.
· Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment.
· Highly self-motivated with proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
