Job description

About this role:

As the IT Support Manager, you will oversee and manage the employee-facing information technology needs for Petvisor's US organization. You will be responsible for developing and executing the IT strategy, managing an international IT team, and ensuring the efficient and secure operation of technology systems that support a growing SaaS software business. A qualified candidate will be eager to collaborate and contribute, own the HelpDesk function, produce reports, and drive project execution. Reporting to the CFO, you'll be expected to manage budgets and procurement while achieving a balance in competing projects.

This role is hybrid, and you will be expected to visit our office in Orlando, FL, 2x a week.

  • Maintain hardware inventory, manage storage, onboarding setup/configuration, and off-boarding equipment retrieval, working closely with the People Department
  • Manage the internal team of support employees who respond to support tickets submitted by employees
  • Communicate directly with employees to troubleshoot hardware, network, and software issues internally via Slack, email and phone
  • Standardize, implement, and update necessary programs/tools/policies, providing guidance and training to the internal team regarding best practices and compliance
  • Forecast technical advancements, define department needs, and ensure project deadlines are met
  • Understand business requirements to provide feedback and direction, including ensuring successful audits as necessary
  • Monitor performance and security of IT systems to determine productivity levels, risks, and need for upgrades, to make prioritized recommendations for continuous improvement of the overall infrastructure and solutions
  • Control budget and report on expenditures related to essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, software, and hardware
  • Build vendor relationships and create cost-efficient contracts

About You

  • 5+ years in IT Support or Help Desk, or related experience in a technical and remote internally-focused position
  • Managed support employees with a goal of delivering exceptional customer service
  • In-depth knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networks
  • Ability to lead, prioritize, facilitate, organize, and manage several milestones and projects efficiently
  • Ability to learn quickly and keep up with technical innovation and trends in IT
  • Experience in documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics
  • Extensive experience working with different operating systems, including Windows and Mac OS
  • Proficient with the administration of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Time management skills and the ability to establish reasonable and attainable deadlines for resolution

Pay Range

$97,000—$113,000 USD
