Now let's get into the IT Manager role:
General Responsibilities
- Oversee the IT support provided by the contracted vendor for MPLT.
- Assist with troubleshooting systems and applications where needed.
- Project Manage IT projects or IT tasks that are part of larger company initiatives.
- Establish IT system requirements for MPLT.
- Provide IT systems training companywide.
- Report the progress and impact of IT efforts to leadership.
- Identify, diagnosis and troubleshoot IT System issues before they impact users or business operations.
- Assist with any other IT operational needs.
Vendor Management
- Develop and maintain vendor relationships.
- Review and approve vendor contracts, quotes, and invoices.
- Meet regularly with key vendors, particularly IT MSP vendor to ensure SLAs and deliverables are being met.
- Escalate critical issues to the appropriate parties for resolutions.
Asset Management
- Maintain and revise hardware standards with key stakeholder input.
- Forecast inventory needs to ensure that sufficient inventory is in stock.
- Work with the IT support team to track IT hardware, peripherals, and accessories and maintain accurate inventory reporting.
Strategy, Security and Compliance - In conjunction with our contracted Vendor and MPLT Leadership:
- Set an overall IT strategy and execute on the key deliverables for MPLT.
- Develop and execute security program to include annual NIST review, security policies, regular training, and communication.
- Develop and manage the IT governance and compliance policies and procedures.
- Perform audits to confirm compliance with policies and procedures.
To excel as our IT Manager, you'll need to come with:
- Associate's degree in computer support related field or equivalent experience.
- 5 years in IT with focus on end user support and IT operations
- Experience negotiating vendor agreements and managing vendor relationships and deliverables.
- Experience with IT standards and compliance including documenting policies and procedures and performing audits to ensure compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of assignments and deliver high-quality results.
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
But it would be great if you also have:
- Knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), NIST Cybersecurity Framework or related experience.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other data consolidation software.
- Experience with SQL, HTML, or other computer scripting.
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Software, CRMs or within the Staffing Industry.
