Job Summary
The IT Manager of Epic Revenue Cycle at Mount Sinai Medical Center is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing three Revenue Cycle teams, ensuring the hospital and physician practices receive maximum reimbursement for services. This encompasses both inpatient and outpatient processes, with a heavy focus on hospital billing, a significant revenue stream. In addition to managing a team of eight full-time employees, the role involves overseeing system functionality and workflows for hospital and processional billing and claims, monitoring provider documentation, coding accounts, and patient identity.

Job Summary
The IT Manager of Epic Revenue Cycle at Mount Sinai Medical Center is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing three Revenue Cycle teams, ensuring the hospital and physician practices receive maximum reimbursement for services. This encompasses both inpatient and outpatient processes, with a heavy focus on hospital billing, a significant revenue stream. In addition to managing a team of eight full-time employees, the role involves overseeing system functionality and workflows for hospital and processional billing and claims, monitoring provider documentation, coding accounts, and patient identity.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates a thorough knowledge and understanding of Epic hospital (HB) and Epic physician billing (PB) and claims systems.
- Ensures billing systems are updated timely with regard to changes of tables (payment, insurance, rate changes, etc.)
- Oversees the operations of the billing systems on a daily basis to ensure accuracy and completeness of staffing, productivity, billing and all other core functions of this role.
- Familiar with Epic Gold Stars for HB/PB Systems.
- Familiar with Epic HIM systems and integrations with 3M Coding/CDI systems.
- Monitors Epic Dashboards and KPI's related to Billing, Claims and HIM systems.
- Is able to groom, mentor, manage, and lead the team effectively.
- Develops and monitors educational plans to ensure employee knowledge growth.

- Service Management - Actively monitors assigned HEAT tickets, documents activities thoroughly, and resolves issues within the established service levels in a consistent manner
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum 5 year' of Hospital Epic Analyst experience 2 years leadership experience
- Certifications in Epic Hospital Billing, claims, HIM and Professional Billing preferred
- Florida resident with ability to work on-site weekly
- Excellent communication and customer service
