Wilkinson Barker Knauer, LLP, a top-tier regulatory law firm, seeks an IT Manager responsible for Applications/Security. The Manager will be based in our Washington, DC office and support two other offices along with an existing small team of IT professionals. This is an exempt position with a 40-hour work week, the need for occasional overtime, and the potential to work remote up to two days each week. Job Description:
Below is a representative list of responsibilities. Other responsibilities may be changed or assigned depending on expertise and workload, as deemed necessary by the Firm.
- Administer, manage, and train users on non-Microsoft applications, including but not limited to: NetDocuments, Mimecast, Litera Products, LastPass, Contact Ease, Constant Contact, Hello Sign / DocuSign, Hello Fax, and Exclaimer
- Coordinate with IT team to ensure timely deployment of applications and update delivery
- Manage vendor relationships for applications, including obtaining accurate licenses and renewals and period re-evaluation to ensure best fit and utilization
- Manage and maintain end-user hardware including but not limited to laptops, monitors, docking stations, and peripherals, including maintaining accurate inventory, responding to lifecycles, preparing sunsetting measures, and sourcing/testing/purchasing
- Create, maintain, or update IT Security policies as needed
- Coordinate with IT Team to enact or enforce IT Security Policies
- Serve as technical liaison for third parties on security qualifications
- Manage and update intranet site (Drupal/Apache)
- Work with IT Team to structure and implement firm-wide projects as appropriate

- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills required – with track record of supporting partners and/or senior executives.
- Highly self-motivated and self-directed.
- Must effectively prioritize and re-prioritize work/projects and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Technical knowledge and experience with the following is preferable
- Office 365 management portal, Azure AD
- Microsoft Endpoint Manager/Intune
- On prem AD, Windows Server 2012 R2+
- Cisco Meraki stack
- SAN Technologies and VMWare
- Datto Backup/Recovery solutions
- GAP assessment and Penetration testing
- Desktop/laptop configuration deployment
- IT Security best practices, general concepts found in ISO or SOC certifications
- AnyConnect VPN
- Connectwise Remote Tools or similar remote-viewers
- Azure/cloud environments
- IT certifications (i.e., CISSP, MCSA, or MCSE), preferred.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience managing and providing IT infrastructure services and support to a multi-office/location organization.
- Project management experience in IT Infrastructure is required. Experience providing IT services in a law firm is preferred.
- Bachelors’ Degree, or a combination of education, certifications and demonstrable experience with various sized IT projects and methodologies or a commensurate track record of support roles that would indicate a full understanding of IT application deployment and use in a complex environment.
Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation is based on years of experience. Managers are eligible for a discretionary bonus based on their performance during the preceding 12 months.
