- Serves as the Base Equipment Control Officer (BECO) and Base Software License Manager (BSLM). Manages and tracks government-owned and leased computer systems equipment in the Defense Property Asset System (DPAS) and the Base Software License program.
Responsibilities
- Manage the Defense Property Asset System (DPAS) for hardware accountability.
- Ensure the DPAS database is accurate.
- Tracks and ensures hardware account custodians are unit assigned and trained in accordance with appropriate guidance.
- Manage the reutilization or disposal of excess equipment.
- Tracks and ensures software account custodians are unit assigned and trained in accordance with appropriate guidance.
- Creates and distributes presentations and reports in accordance with local and higher authority requests.
- Perform other duties as assigned in accordance with contractual, functional and mission requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum Requirements
- High School/GED/Associates preferred and five (5) years' additional education and/or experience.
- Experience
- Five (5) year's Inventory and Software Management experience
- IT specific experience preferred
- Skills
- Strong written and oral communication.
- Extensive electronic records management.
- Must be able to work in a group.
