Position Title: IT Integration Specialist
Location: Houma, LA
Reporting to: Engineering Technology/Manager
Essential Functions
The IT Integration Specialist plays a pivotal role in streamlining and automating data management within Benoit by automating data collection from equipment and input of that data into ERP systems. They are also responsible for upholding the reliability of existing hardware and software solutions and overseeing any external IT projects or contracts. This position reports directly to the Technology Manager.
Role and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Develop custom python/shell scripts to interface with industrial equipment and software systems to track key performance metrics.
2. Interface equipment such as PLCs, lathes, microcontrollers or microprocessors to gather data
3. Perform basic data analytics to extract key performance metrics on productivity
4. Create custom SharePoint or Acumatica dashboards to display this data to the company
5. Troubleshoot and provide support for Acumatica ERP.
6. Write and optimize dashboards for Acumatica to enhance internal efficiency.
7. Manage and customize Microsoft SharePoint to display gathered key performance metrics.
8. Collaborate with teams to gather requirements for software solutions.
9. Create custom SharePoint / PowerBI / Acumatica solutions to streamline document management throughout the company.
10. Provide general IT support, i.e. computer setup, troubleshooting, server management.
11. Ensure the smooth functioning of IT hardware and software within the organization.
12. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies.
13. Assist in project management related to the technology department.
14. Document IT processes and procedures.
Qualifications:
· High School Graduate or equivalent required – College coursework is a plus
· Experience with assessment, prioritization, research, and resolution of incidents and requests regarding the use of application software products and infrastructure components.
· Self-directed, independent, detail-oriented, and highly motivated
· Must be able to communicate effectively in English both verbally and written.
· Strong organizational and computer skills - (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Office 365)
· Ability to multitask in fast-paced team and to work independently with little to no supervision
· Exposure to manufacturing operations preferred but not required.
Qualifications
- Preferred: Basic scripting ability in languages such as Python, Batch, Shell, c++, Java, c#, C
- Plus: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certifications, ITIL or similar certification
- Plus: Project Management experience
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- General work environment – sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning
- Noise level is usually low to medium
- Occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs.
