POSITION: IT Infrastructure Engineer
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are currently seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our onsite IT Team. As a member of our IT Operations team, you will provide a wide variety of technical solutions aiding in the development and maintenance of a stable and mature computing environment. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to engage in security efforts to ensure IT Infrastructure is operating according to security best practices. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and highly motivated, with the ability to adapt and be comfortable in an ambiguous environment. Strong communication and time management skills and the ability to problem solve and develop strong partnerships are essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide Tier 3 IT support relating to technical infrastructure issues involving Microsoft's core business applications, operating systems, and cloud infrastructure.
- Create and maintain infrastructure-related documentation within the company's document management platform.
- Monitor and support Local and Cloud Backups.
- Monitor and Manage Microsoft and third-party patch management technologies and processes.
- Management of Azure and Microsoft 365 Core Infrastructure including Azure Network & Compute, Defender Suite, MCAS, Microsoft Endpoint Management (Intune), Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams Voice, One Drive for Business, Hybrid Azure AD, etc.
- Management of on-premises infrastructure including Hyper-converged network & compute.
- Advanced technical support at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, Wi-Fi, and security.
- Manage advanced remote access solution support: IPSEC & SSL VPN, Remote Desktop Services, etc.
- Monitor, track, and manage Network Monitoring and RMM system alerts and notifications including appropriate triage and resolution methodologies and documentation.
- Communication with users/clients as required: keeping them informed of maintenance, incident progress, notifying them of impending changes, and agreed outages.
- Track all incidents and support request resolution through enterprise ticketing systems.
- Audit, and review vulnerability & security logs and alerts.
- Alert, Review & Respond to security incidents.

- Continuous education, expansion, and refinement of technical knowledge and credibility through industry-standard certifications.
- Act as a technical resource for support desk training and mentorship.
- Interpret and discuss information with others and regularly provide advice and recommend actions involving complex issues.
- Demonstrate professional attitude with client over the phone, on-site and through emails to resolve all client requests/questions.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of progressive experience in the IT industry
- 5+ years of experience managing Azure environments
- Cloud & Local Virtualization Technologies including Azure, VMWare, and Hyper-V
- Familiar with Security Technologies including Conditional Access, EDR, MDR/XDR, Managed SOC, etc.
- Microsoft 365 Administration & Licensing
- Windows Server Administration
- Ability to work independently and a strong desire for personal and professional development
- Enterprise Network Technologies including Firewall, Route, Switch, Wireless, SD-WAN, etc.
- Experience with SharePoint, Power Automate and/or PowerApps is a plus
- Familiarity with ITIL processes
- Ability to identify and evaluate trends in industry best practice policies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
EDUCATION
- Associate or bachelor's degree in computer science or MIS from a reputable institute or 7 years of IT or related experience.
PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS
- Microsoft Server and/or Azure Certifications Desired
- Network+ Desired
- Security+ Desired
