Our IT Helpdesk Support Technician at PTR is the key to our smooth day-to-day operations. This role ensures our networks, hardware, and software are set up and working properly across all departments so our employees don’t miss a beat. This person will support our members by solving problems quickly.

 

 

COMPENSATION

This position has a competitive compensation package that is a combination of Salary Base Pay plus Profit Sharing Paid Quarterly after 1 year of employment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Investigating, analyzing, and resolving software, hardware, and networking issues for employees, focusing on minimizing downtime and restoring service as quickly as possible.
  • Responding promptly and effectively to IT requests and issues, prioritizing them based on urgency and impact on the business.
  • Managing inventory of IT equipment, ensuring that we have the necessary equipment and software licenses to support our employees' needs.
  • Setting up and configuring desks and computers for new employees, ensuring that they have the necessary tools to be productive from day one.
  • Providing IT training to new and existing staff, enabling them to work effectively with our systems and software.
  • Managing your time effectively, balancing competing priorities, and meeting deadlines to ensure we provide our employees the highest level of service.

 

REQUIREMENTS

MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or related role.
  • Strong technical skills in Windows and Mac operating systems, Microsoft Office, and networking.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work well independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Knowledge of ITIL best practices.
  • CompTIA A+ or other technical certifications.
  • IT troubleshooting experience and familiarity with products such as Windows OS, Active Directory, and Office 365.
