IT Helpdesk Support Specialist Summary:
The IT Helpdesk Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical assistance and support to Boyum Barenscheer's end users. You will diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware issues, research software updates, and assist in firm-wide adoption of new technologies.
IT Helpdesk Support Specialist Responsibilities:
- Respond to requests for technical assistance via phone, email, or other communication channels.
- Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems, including workstations, printers, and other peripherals.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
- Log and track all customer interactions and issues in a helpdesk ticketing system.
- Escalate complex technical issues to senior technicians or other support teams as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance and upgrades to hardware and software systems.
IT Helpdesk Support Specialist Qualifications and Education:
- 2+ years of helpdesk experience required
- Possess a strong customer service mindset
- Strong Microsoft Office and O365 experience required
- Some local travel between our three Twin Cities offices is required
- Willingness to be on-call on an as needed basis
