RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install, configure and ship new computers for employees of the Southern Pacific Region.
- Document/track computer builds and IT assets using the Kace ticketing system
- Provide desk-side, telephone, and remote computer support via Teams/BeyondTrust for the Southern Pacific Region
- Act as a tier 3 help desk resource for end user troubleshooting
- Investigate, resolve, and follow-up on problems that cannot be resolved by tier 2 support
- Follow established procedures or develop new solutions to user problems
- Document all solutions in helpdesk ticketing system
- Reimage PCs for break/fix purposes
- Occasional job site and remote office travel around the Newport Beach, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Las Vegas areas is optional
- Working with the Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems on Dell laptops.Will also be exposed to some/all of the following technologies:
- Microsoft Office 2016/O365, Microsoft Edge/Chrome, BitDefender Anti-Virus, Microsoft Teams, DDPE / Bitlocker drive encryption, CB Protect, OneDrive for Business, Sharepoint, Quest Kace, Printerlogic, MFP network configuration, Ethernet and wireless technologies, miscellaneous video conferencing technologies, etc.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent end user computing technical knowledge
- Superior customer service and communication skills
- 3-5 years of level 2 help desk or similar experience required
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in related field recommended
- Experience in desktop engineering/support and the Windows operating systems
- Hands-on technical experience is required
- High level of professionalism
- Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with people at all levels in the organization, both inside and outside of technology
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Ability to work independently and meet delivery deadlines
