Our client, a growing and respected Management Consulting firm, is seeking an IT Governance Management Consultant to support their federal government agency client.
The successful candidate should have the following skills:
Ability to leverage an IT management and project management/support experience to specify IT Governance structures and provide a wide-range of IT management solutions to clients
2. Strong understanding of Federal IT programs (e.g., guidance, regulations, compliance, integration, etc.)
3. Strong IT governance experience and able to appropriately specify and tailor solutions as appropriate.
5. Ability to define innovative and creative solutions and able to align stakeholders across departments and areas
6. Strong communication skills (e.g., oral, written - to include documents and presentations, process maps etc.)
7. Ability to lead stakeholders through scenarios to identify and validate courses of action
8. Prepare for and facilitate client meetings as needed or required
Job Requirements:
Required Skills and Experience
- Ability to work in the United States and work in a U.S. government facility
- BS or BA from an accredited four year college or university
- Minimum of 10 years of professional work experience with 5 years of IT Governance, to include techniques and management processes across a broad spectrum of frameworks and methodologies
- Previous experience working in a federal CIO organization
- Exemplary communication skills both written and oral (to include senior and executive level communication)
- Critical and strategic thinking (e.g., able to leverage and shape industry best-practices to realistic applications within and consistent with client operational environments)
- Able to work productively in a team environment
- Experience providing broad IT Governance and Portfolio Management solutions and support
- Command knowledge of prevailing federal regulations pertaining to IT governance operations
- Ability to perform complex tasks methodically and with a high degree of accuracy
- Strong customer service orientation
- Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Project management experience, and or PMP certification
- ITIL knowledge
- Risk Management knowledge
- Enterprise Architecture knowledge
- COBIT experience
