Job description

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Endpoint engineering or related disciplines
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in IT management
  • Experience of working in remote teams
  • Experience of transitioning on premise servers to Azure Cloud
  • Experience of implementing Endpoint Management/ Endpoint Engineering (In
  • Experience with network administration (Cisco certification a plus)
  • Experience managing on-premises servers, storage area networks (SAN), and network-attached storage (NAS) devices
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365
  • Knowledge of Fleet Management hardware/ software is a plus
  • Able to multi-task across multiple projects
  • High Attention to detail, presentation, and organizational skills

  • Design and execution of system test plans including front-end and back-end unit and integration tests
  • Comfort authoring and debugging SQL queries

Key Accountabilities:  

IT Tier 1 and 2 – Valley Metro / KTA

  • Deliver Valley Metro location with Tier 1 and Tier 2 helpdesk tickets. Support KTA for Tier 2 tickets. Work in collaboration with central helpdesk.
  • Ensure the IT needs of users are met
  • Support process design and improvement
  • Under leadership of KTA and Valley Metro Operations department develop roadmap and establish continual improvement to systems that enable the goals and workflows of the Operations department
  • Ensure Valley Metro Digital and IT needs are met through support from the KNA Digital Solutions department
  • Gather business needs from stakeholders; create functional requirements for projects and incremental changes to systems.
  • Serve as technical lead and/or provide support in QA, testing, documentation, and training of new releases within the platforms of responsibility.
  • Act as the liaison between vendors, KNA IT and Departments keeping abreast with software upgrades and functional improvements of current software portfolio and industry trends
  • Create conceptual design solutions and driving design processes for area of expertise and overall KTA environments (style guides and standards)
  • Challenge established thinking and processes, discover new ways of approaching and providing solutions
  • Manipulate and load batch data into systems as necessary
  • Follow developed IT Change Management process including ability to document changes, workflows, and data flows as changes within systems occur
  • Support and assist in developing and managing the execution and documentation of business workflow processes
  • Demonstrate an ability to manage projects following Project Management Institute guidelines as necessary – including project success metrics, inclusion, project tracking, documentation, and reporting.
  • Maintain updated and documented system inventory, relationships, and otherwise as required through documentation and change control policies.
  • Assist in the development of metrics in area of responsibility to ensure objectives of organization in are met and sustained
  • Follow developed Digital Solutions Department and Keolis policies including but not limited to documentation and change management.
  • Demonstrate an ability to manage projects following Project Management Institute guidelines as necessary – including project success metrics, inclusion, project tracking, documentation, and reporting

IT SPECIALIST

Run:

  • IT infrastructure: support the transition toward endpoint management, and transitioning servers from hardware to Azure cloud. Plan and oversee the installation and maintenance of computer systems, hardware, and networks
  • IT Security: work in collaboration with IT shared services of Keolis North America. Run regular checks on network and data security. Ensure our policy and practices are aligned to industry standards. Propose projects of improvement/ participate in their implementation where relevant.
  • IT buying: support KTA team to ensure we are adequately managing our IT related contracts, and support the buying process
  • IT Literacy: support the organization to grow our IT literacy at all level of the organization to support leveraging IT tools potential

 Grow:

  • Identify opportunities to improve and update software and systems to better deliver our service/ save cost. Propose improvement, and participate in implementation where relevant
  • Project Management: define timeframe, resources, and outputs, follow agreed upon project methodology to deliver IT projects in the location. Measure and analyze the success of IT initiatives and projects and continually develop and evaluate new technologies and tools for the company.
