Our engineering team provides force measurement solutions to the aerospace, automotive, energy, factory automation, medical which includes the test and measurement industries as well. Interface products can measure from grams to millions of pounds in hundreds of models and physical sizes. By maintaining the entire process, from design, machining, strain gage manufacturing and assembly, and in our own facilities, we can ensure the highest degree of performance possible.

Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Engineer to join our dynamic team supporting our technology environment. As an IT Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's IT environment. Responsibilities will include designing hardware configurations, installing software, managing network systems and training staff on correct operating procedures. To ensure success as an IT engineer, you should have experience maintaining large-scale computer systems, the ability to manage cross-departmental projects, and excellent troubleshooting skills. Ultimately, our engineer will be able design and maintain a dynamic and stable system to meet our company’s needs.

Schedule: 8:00AM - 5:00PM (1 hour lunch)

Responsibilities:

System Design and Implementation:

• Design, implement, and manage robust and scalable IT systems to meet the organization's needs.
• Evaluate and recommend hardware and software solutions to enhance system performance and efficiency.

Network Infrastructure:

• Plan, deploy, and maintain network infrastructure, including access points, routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Ensure the security and integrity of the network, implementing measures to prevent unauthorized access and data breaches.

System Administration:

• Administer and troubleshoot servers, operating systems, and virtualization platforms.
• Perform routine system maintenance tasks, including updates, patches, and backups.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, security professionals, and support staff, to ensure seamless integration of systems.
• Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

Monitoring and Optimization:

• Implement monitoring solutions to proactively identify and address system issues.
• Continuously optimize systems for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

Security and Compliance:

• Implement and enforce security best practices to safeguard sensitive data.
• Ensure systems comply with relevant industry regulations and standards.

Documentation:

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Provide training and documentation for end-users as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field, or a year for year equivalent time in work experience.
• Proven experience as an IT Engineer or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of system and network administration, security, and infrastructure design.
• Strong proficiency in operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux), virtualization technologies, and cloud platforms such as Hyper-V, VMware, Office 365, Azure, and Windows Administrative Tools.
• Experience with Windows Server services such as Active Directory, Print Management, DHCP, and DNS.
• Experience with Aruba, FortiGate, and Dell appliances.
• Strong emphasis on following best practices and standards.
• Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Ansible).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, MCAAA, CCNA, CompTIA certifications) are a plus.
