This position allows for 3-4 days per week remote / work from home.
Salary: $150,000 - 200,000/year
We are seeking an IT Manager who has the skills needed to support all technological areas. This person will analyze current systems and assets, recommend, implement solutions, and upgrades. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Windows based client and server operating systems and network hardware with the ability to learn our industry needs to keep us on the cutting edge. The IT manager will have an immediate impact on the day-to-day efficiency of our operations and a long-term impact on our overall growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Inventory, track and maintain our hardware assets.
  • Reduce waste and increase efficiency by making the best use of existing asset resources.
  • Develop and maintain processes, policies, standards, systems, and measurements that help the organization to effectively manage the asset portfolio both daily and long-term with regards to cost, control, risk, compliance, business performance objectives, and governance as established by the company.
  • Ensure quality control throughout the lifecycle of all company assets by developing and implementing appropriate procedures to track and manage them.
  • Manage and maintain databases and records of information such as licenses, service agreements, and warranties for the organization’s hardware.
  • Knowledge of ISP/Communication Providers and Virtual Private Networks (VPNs).
  • Understanding of company safety and security standards.
  • Hardware support including handheld scanners, laser and label printers, PCs, laptops, monitors, general peripherals, IP phones.
  • Software support including Windows 7/10/11, Windows Server 2012 Microsoft AD, and VMware.
  • Maintain server backups and restore systems on mission-critical equipment.
  • Specific system support including security badging systems, camera servers, various industrial automation software and other software.
  • Security patching of systems as necessary.
  • Support IT break/fix for the site using standard helpdesk software to manage the flow and priority of requests.
  • Complete new deployments for PCs and laptops utilizing company standard imaging practices.
  • Basic networking tasks, including troubleshooting of endpoints, patching new endpoints into the network, and basic wireless authentication configurations for endpoints.
  • Project management (allocate tasks, set timelines, and allocate resources).
  • Ensure compliance with IT and business policies and audit requirements including coordinating, measuring, and reporting on the technical aspects of IT management.
  • Deliver internal IT customer service excellence by ensuring uptime, optimal performance and intended business value.
  • Ensure the effective use of IT project methodologies by providing oversight for area IT projects, providing expert guidance on deliverables, process and approach.
  • Assist production in various capacities:
  • Maintain quality control and print production hardware and software.
  • Build jobs and assist press room with variable data printing production.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or four years of experience managing infrastructure related technologies and asset management.
  • Experience managing an IT department.
  • Solid knowledge of Cisco switches and Windows Operating systems.
  • Demonstrates a strong knowledge in Windows Server management and VMWare.
  • Some knowledge of Zebra/Motorola printers and RF equipment preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple and diverse tasks/projects; strong attention to detail and outstanding follow-through.
  • Possess strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interact with company personnel, builds strong relationships at all levels and across all business units and organizations, and understands business imperatives.
  • Strong understanding of the business impact of IT tools, technologies and policies.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM/ITIL) strategies, process, policies, project management, budget management and best practices.
