Job Description

The Director of Information Technology will spearhead the vision, development, and implementation of IT strategies, ensuring optimal alignment with the company's immediate and long-term business objectives. This role involves overseeing the maintenance and security of the companys IT infrastructure, with a strong focus on leveraging Microsoft technologies and cloud services to enhance

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy in collaboration with senior leadership, focusing on scalability, security, and integration of technology services.

• Ensure the technological resources are effectively aligned with the company's strategic goals, both short-term and long-term.

• Make informed executive decisions on the company's technology needs, including software, hardware, and service requirements.

• Proactively identify, evaluate, and recommend new technologies and services to enhance efficiency, streamline processes, and improve overall operations.

• Oversee the acquisition of technology resources, including negotiation and management of contracts for hardware, software, and managed services.

• Monitor, report, and guide the progress of IT projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.

• Guarantee the integrity, reliability, and security of all IT systems, including data protection, network security, and compliance with industry-specific regulations.

• Lead project planning, defining clear objectives, and requirements, and ensure timely execution.

• Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing in-house IT team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.

• Manage technology budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.

• Stay abreast of emerging technology trends and developments, ensuring the company's IT capabilities are continuously updated.

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives for IT staff, equipment, and procedures in response to technological advancements and organizational needs.

• Undertake additional duties as required to support the companys IT and business objectives.

Qualifications, Skills & Experiences for Succes

• Masters degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Minimum of 10 years in a technology-focused role, with a strong preference for experience in the financial services sector.

• At least 5 years of managerial experience, preferably in an IT department.

• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 ecosystem, including expertise in Azure AD, Microsoft Intune (MDM and MAM), EMS, SharePoint, and PowerShell scripting.

• Proficient in Cloud Service SLAs, vendor management, and third-party relationship management.

• Demonstrated experience in IT infrastructure, networking, database management, cybersecurity, and cloud computing (AWS, Azure, VMWare).

• Proven ability to manage and optimize cloud services (SaaS/PaaS/IaaS), with a strong understanding of disaster recovery and business continuity practices.

• Exceptional team management, communication, delegation, and organizational skills.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership abilities, with a focus on innovation and efficiency.

• Experience working with external Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs) as well as other third-party technology providers.

Location

This position can be located either at our Stamford, CT office, or Boston, MA office with the ability to work remotely up to 2 days per week after a 120-day training and onboarding period.
