Scottsdale Christian Academy (SCA) is a Christ-Centered covenant Christian school in our 5th decade in metropolitan Phoenix, Arizona. First founded in 1968, the high school opened in 1973, and has maintained its core mission of maximizing the God-given potential of each student, preparing them to live lives of distinction, by impacting the world for Jesus Christ. We provide a Christian worldview education with academic excellence, arts, and athletics. We are accredited by Cognia and the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). SCA seeks Christian professionals who are Christ-centered, competent, compassionate, relational, of high character, and who are impassioned in their field. If that describes you and you are gifted in the areas listed below, we welcome you to consider applying for this position. SCA offers competitive salaries commensurate with experience.
SCA conducts pre-employment and drug screening for all positions which includes a criminal background check, verification of work history, academic credentials, licenses, and certifications. A Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card is also required.
This teaching role incorporates two part-time positions that create a full-time position. The position of Elementary Language Arts (ELA) and Reading Pathways Teacher works alongside classroom teachers to identify students with a need for accommodations and small group instruction in Reading and all areas of Language Arts. The teacher will perform the assigned ELA and Reading Pathways 4th -5th grade teacher responsibilities in an efficient and Godly manner. The Pathways program at SCA strives to empower all students to achieve their unique God-given strengths and talents by creating a program of advocacy, specialized instruction, and intervention specific to the needs of each child.
The position of Elementary Coordinator works alongside the Elementary Principal to ensure the effective implementation of curriculum policies in the school. This position coordinates the consistency and alignment across grade levels in areas such as: gradebook policies and categories, classroom centers and technology, field trips, special days, parent events, scheduling volunteers, handwriting, math facts, phonics, and homework, late work, and testing policies.
We are seeking an individual who is passionate about Christian education and is called to work with youth, desiring them to grow in their understanding of subject matter with a biblical perspective. Beyond preparing lessons and grading assignments, this applicant will also take on routine responsibilities common to all SCA teaching staff. Our teachers are responsible for fulfilling the mission of Scottsdale Christian by equipping minds through engaging, innovative instruction and nurturing hearts by mentoring young people as a spiritual leader and role model. This teacher will report directly to the Elementary Principal.
