IT DevOps Lead Technical Coach (experienced level professional)

Michelin is hiring! We are looking for a Software delivery professional who is passionate about DevOps to join our company and be a key player of our IT team.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As one of the lead Software Engineering technical SMEs for the NA SMI organization, this role is the go-to resource for anything related to DevOps Practices around the primary topics listed below. They are expected to share their knowledge through coaching and mentor other team members on the best practices and applying standards for development and support. You will apply world-class processes to help train teams on their adoption of CI/CD standard processes, Test Automation tools and software engineering tool stack.

This role provides mentoring for the building, installation, deployment and testing of the solutions, in term of processes, methods and tools required for their activity, as well as standards, assistance and related consulting.

Responsible for Level 3 technical support to operations teams and assist the project team in resolving deployment issues.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Team performance: Demonstrates every day Agile & Lean values like cooperation, transparency, courage, and humility to foster teamwork. Continuously reflect on how to become more effective to help facilitate adjustments of team norms to align with DOTI standards.

Configuration/Release Management: manages the configuration of items on all solution artifacts (application code, system configuration, scripts, batch plan, configuration...), from development environment to production environment.

Automation Delivery and Packaging: the continuous delivery is implemented and improved regularly. The frequency of delivery is consistent with project needs and business availability to validate the solution.

Operability, affordability and security: the application is operable and sustainable on the long run. In consequence, operation teams are autonomous to operate, and apply standards regarding security (user management, audits, ...).

Training: develop specific training modules for in house training of Michelin personnel in integration and software craftmanship standards; lead classroom like sessions (hands on) to help upskill the business solution teams in North America. Actively participate in upskilling self and growing network contacts within Michelin.

Progress: apply analytical tools to identify process and skill gaps within technical teams. Be a technical leader in helping teams with key technologies within the zone and animate technical discussions within Michelin communities of practice.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

5-7 years of technical experience, including working within the Agile framework.

Outstanding analytical and conceptual thinking skills, ability to influence business teams and work closely with them to resolve acceptable solutions. Good understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment principles.

Experience crafting modern application architecture for a Global Enterprise Application.

Skills in Development tools such as Java, Spring, Angular are recommended. CI/CD tooling such as Gitlab, Jenkins, Git Runners, Docker, Kubernetes, and Sonarcube. A solid background in test automation tools is highly recommended.

Good interpersonal communication skills, as this role will be coaching and leading training sessions.

Strong Teamwork and Leadership skills, including the ability to clearly articulate to large audiences.

An appetite for continuous improvement and learning new technologies.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

- Programming Languages - Java, Spring Boot, Python.

- Test Automation Tools - Tosca, Katalon, JMeter, Cypress, Zephyr.

- Development/Deployment Tools - Gitlab, Jenkins.

- Infrastructure as Code Tools - Ansible, Terraform.

- Experience with IBM Tools - ACE, MQ, DataStage TWS.

- Knowledge with Axway CFT (Cross File Transfer)

- Experience with Microsoft Azure, and cloud infrastructure.

- Knowledge of Software Development/Project Management tools - Jira.
