AGCO, a global leader in the design, manufacture, and distribution of agricultural solutions, has an exciting career opportunity for a IT Developer I to join our team.
Working in a DevOps approach, the IT Developer I is responsible for development of new connected vehicle products as well as updating existing products, to deliver event-driven micro-services in a streaming ecosystem. With a focus on rapid, iterative delivery of professional software to prove specific business hypotheses, this position will participate in the design, building, and operation of production deployments that provide value to internal and external customers.
This position is available for remote work.
These responsibilities include providing support for project work, ongoing day-to-day operational needs, and reports to the IT Lead for this functional area.
What you will do:
- Work with product owners and/or other development team members to groom new features and user stories needed in applications/services.
- Leverage DevOps tool stack to build, inspect, deploy, test, and promote new or updated features and provide support for applications in production to maintain uptime.
- Create/maintain documentation to support development efforts. Documents may include implementation guides, application architecture diagrams, or design documents.
- Participate in code and peer reviews to ensure that: each change adheres to original vision as described in the user story, appropriate use of standard resource libraries, and compliance to established architecture patterns as appropriate.
- Participate in team ceremonies including planning, grooming, product demonstration and team retrospectives.
- Contribute to process improvement and coding standards and resolve incidents and complete service requests to the agreed service levels (SLA).
- Monitor performance and provide responsive action to issues maintaining high-level internal customer satisfaction to required service level performance measures, through the successful resolution of customer requests/issues/change requests.
- Ensure individual and team compliance with all AGCO policies and procedures including Sarbanes Oxley, IT, and Security. Follow established governance processes and standards.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related Engineering with 2+ years of relevant Software Development experience
- Experience using Git and working with CI/CD toolchains.
- 1+ years of experience working in software development of systems at scale, using streaming technologies and Java, Scala, NodeJS, or Python and accompanying unit test frameworks.
- Cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP) experience
Travel Required:
- Work requires occasional global travel to meetings, AGCO site visits, vendor/partner site visits, and conferences, expected to be 5% or less.
