IT Apps Developer II in GAC Savannah
Unique Skills:
Gulfstream is looking for a highly driven individual to help our team create new integrations between various cloud and on-premise systems. This individual will act as the developer & implementer for the APIs built in the MuleSoft platform. This position provides the opportunity to work with a variety of teams to support their application needs by building easily-consumed APIs.
NOTE: Flexible work schedules are available, including the option to work M-W in-office, and Th-Fr from home.
In addition to the general requirements provided, the ideal candidate will have one or more
of the listed skills:
• 1+ years of related MuleSoft experience a plus.
• Prior experience building automated or API driven solutions.
• CI/CD pipelines experience preferred (basic understanding of Git and version control).
• Familiarity with core web technologies: HTTP, JSON, REST, XML is required.
• Preferred: 2+ years of JavaScript experience.
• Preferred: Other scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, etc. considered a plus.
• Required: Understanding of API data integration and REST best practices.
• Required: Understanding of relational databases. SQL Server experience is desired.
• Required: Understanding of API testing tools. Ready API or Postman experience is desired.
• Attention to detail, strong analytical, organizational, multi-tasking, problem-solving and conceptual thinking skills.
- Codes and documents software programs in accordance with design specifications.
- Provides guidance to application developers.
- Creates unit and integration test plans.
- Performs unit and integration testing.
- Participates in peer code reviews.
- Supports application deployment.
- Understands IS Security measures and current standards, practices and technology.
- Proactively identifies opportunities to improve existing methodologies, processes or other areas of application delivery performance. .
- Proactively communicates issues and status as required. .
- May contribute to software design development. .
- Experience with software development methodologies, the software development lifecycle (SDLC), and best practices.
- IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) exposure is desired.
- Experience working in teams.
- Proficiency with an Integrated Development Environment (IDE).
- Proficiency with MS Office.
- Exercises problem solving and creativity when developing code, to create efficient, reusable software, which results in minimal maintenance. .
- Basic communications (oral and written and interpersonal) skills. Proven ability to develop effective relationships with peers and first level management.
- A Masters degree may be used to offset one year of experience; PhD may offset two years of experience.
