We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Desktop/Network Support Agent to provide technical assistance to our internal team. The candidate will be responsible for resolving desktop and network issues, performing hardware and software installations, and maintaining our systems to ensure optimal performance. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to user inquiries regarding computer hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, laptop, printer, and network-related problems.
- Deploy, install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems.
- Ensure proper operation of all computer systems, including servers, printers, and scanners.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
- Create and maintain documentation related to system configurations, support procedures, and software inventory.
- Provide technical training and assistance to end-users when required.
- Manage and maintain inventory of all IT equipment.
- Stay current with industry trends and technologies to identify opportunities to enhance system performance and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a desktop/network support role
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, as well as experience with Active Directory and TCP/IP networking
- Experience with help desk ticketing systems and remote support tools
- Experience installing, configuring, supporting and administration of Microsoft 365 applications.
- Experience with Active Directory /Azure, VMware, Hyper-V
Position Accountability/Scope:
The position is based in Topcon, Fort Atkinson, WI office and reports to the IT Manager based in Topcon Positioning Systems' Olathe, KS office.
Working Conditions:
- National travel is required as needed for management and maintenance of Topcon Positioning Systems sites throughout the US and Canada as part of a larger Information Technology team.
- Some international travel may be required (Valid passport for travel to all countries required).
- Position requires on-call duties and off-shifting of hours as needed to support business needs.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
