Scope of Work
The Desktop Support role provides help and expertise across all software platforms and computing equipment within the Gaylor technology environment.
Responsibilities
- Responding to support requests and taking necessary steps to resolve those problems.
- Document support issues and solutions.
- Remote problem-solving through use of remote connection tools.
- Diagnosing Windows and PC hardware issue.
- Laptop, iPad, iPhone configuration and deployment.
- Basic troubleshooting of LAN and connectivity issues.
- Perform data migrations and assist in data restorations.
Qualifications
Position Requirements
- An outgoing, amiable personality and desire to help others.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good working knowledge in the Windows desktop environment.
- Maintains appropriate records, files, and documentation.
- Maintains confidentiality of all corporate information.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask.
Education:
CompTIA A+ preferred (or may be obtained during the first year of employment).
Experience: Previous Desktop Support or IT helpdesk experience is preferred.
