Job description

Overview:

IT Desktop Support Analyst oversees and maintains computer hardware and software systems. Their skills assist the company in resolving technical issues concerning customer's accounts or company software infrastructure. A Desktop Support Analyst will also support computer software integration by diagnosing and troubleshooting common problems.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a representative "expert" on desktop related issues or inter-departmental technology projects.
  • Monitor ITSM system for tickets assigned to the queue and process tickets, first-in, first-out based on priority.
  • Provide Help Desk / Software and Network Support.
  • Provide A/V and VC support.
  • Track equipment in the inventory database.
  • Solve advanced Desktop Support issues, up to the "Tier I" skill level.
  • Helps junior desktop and helpdesk team members with support topics.
  • Responds to all ticketed internal IT and customer requests, escalating when required.
  • Monitor status of pending support requests and obtain follow-up information from IT supervisors/leads and/or end-user.
  • Acts as the MS Office specialist in assisting and instructing staff in use of Microsoft Office products.
  • Manage / Support Ring Central IP Phone System.
  • Identifies manual processes in the desktop environment that can be automated for enforcement or uniformity.
  • Guide users with simple, step-by-step instructions.
  • Install, upgrade, and troubleshoot hardware and software systems.
  • Follow up with clients to ensure their systems are functional.
  • Create/move/audit AD objects and user accounts.
  • Deployment of equipment, software installs (imaging), upgrades, renewals, and fixes.
  • Performs disk imagining and assist with managing PC Imaging / Management systems.
  • Conducts remote troubleshooting and support.
  • Help create procedure process, technical documentation, and manuals.
  • Collaborate on solutions with other team members and customers across the organization.
  • Coordinates/leads desktop projects as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills required:

  • Intune Management/Deployment/ Autopilot/ MDM/ MAM
  • Cloud Solutions Azure Active Directory
  • Service Desk Experience
  • Vendor Management
  • Change Management
  • Principle of least privilege/best practices
  • Experience with Vlans,VPNs, WAN ,LAN, routers, switches, firewalls,and Security
  • Freshworks (freshservice) is a plus
  • Sonicwall Experience is a plus
  • Database Migration
  • VMWare
  • Azure,Teams,M365, Exchange, Administrator
  • Power Platoform Experience ( Power Automate & PowerBi experience)
  • PowerShell
  • Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery
  • Knowledge of HIPAA Compliancy

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field.
  • Strong communication, and project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and industry trends to continuously improve network performance and security.
  • Experience in developing and implementing network policies, procedures, and best practices.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field preferred, or equivalent experience required of 1 year of desk top support.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday 8am-5pm

Ability to commute/work onsite:

  • Houston, TX 77070: Reliably commute or planning to relocate (no relocation benefits) before starting work (Required)
  • In person (REMOTE IS NOT AN OPTION)

Travel:

Employee must have reliable transportation. Employee must be able to travel and be available to travel at notice for immediate projects. Expected to be available a minimum of 2 weeks of the month for travel. Hotel, flight accommodations and the daily allotted per diem will be provided. No gas or toll fees will be reimbursed in this position as travel is a requirement of the job function.
