Role Summary
Provide 1st level technical support for application software, computer hardware, network equipment, and other systems throughout the Enterprise. Configure and deploy computer workstations, laptops, phones, printers, and mobile devices. Research and follow best practices in technology, standards, and documented procedures.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Know and understand Bowling Green Metalforming Quality and Environmental policies.
  2. Perform other duties as required.
  3. Follows and supports and Magna's operating principles, including:

    8. Attend and participate in Team, Department, Plant-wide and any other meetings as required.
    9. Conduct all activities in a professional manner and positive attitude with an emphasis on personal responsibility.
  4. Solve day-to-day problems with Windows client operating systems, Microsoft Office, software packages, IP telephones, printers, and mobile devices.
  5. Troubleshoot connectivity for wired and wireless connections.
  6. Maintain Windows client OS software patches and security updates.
  7. Install, upgrade, and/or repair computer hardware and software.
  8. Maintain up-to-date inventories for hardware and software.
  9. Provide on-site and remote user support.

Key Qualifications/Requirements
Education and/or Experience:
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Associate's degree in IT or equivalent experience required
  • Microsoft, CompTIA, HDI certifications are a plus

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Operate standard office equipment preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of working experience in a technical field required
