Our client has an urgent need for an experienced IT Auditor with extensive Federal Agency experience, with an emphasis on the DOD. This position provides key support to a major Defense Agency with a global IT and financial footprint. This footprint expands over 35 general ledger and non-general ledger systems across the DoD Enterprise. The ideal candidate has had experience analyzing and strengthening internal controls and IT management practices; instituting sustainable business processes; and implementing Federal Information System Controls Audit Manual (FISCAM) requirements for existing IT systems.
As the IT Auditor, you will be able to demonstrate.
This position provides key support to a major Defense Agency with a global IT and financial footprint. As the IT Auditor, you will be able to demonstrate.
- Extensive knowledge of regulatory, statutory, and legislative financial management systems and other federal financial management system requirements (i.e., OMB A-127, FISMA-NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-63B, FISCAM, etc.)
- Experience with executing or leading information systems control audits of federal and government agencies in accordance with FISCAM.
- Experience executing or leading information security policy and compliance assessments and reviews for federal agencies.
- An understanding of current trends in information technology OSD policies, systems, and procedures for personnel, acquisition, inventory, property, and material management.
- Experience in the management of IT audit remediation plans including assessing findings, testing remediation efforts to determine confidence, integrity, and availability of IT systems, and documenting retesting results.
- Experience in developing IT governance frameworks to manage IT risk and demonstrate alignment of information and technology activities with agency business objectives.
- Experience in evaluating and analyzing technology general controls (ITGCs) and application controls framework.
Your background will include.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to attend some meetings with the client in the Washington DC area.
- Minimum Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant areas such as computer science, information science, and cybersecurity.
- Active Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification
- Experience of four (4) or more years in a related field; with one year of experience acting in a managerial capacity.
- Proven ability to synthesize information quickly and transform it into actionable reports and presentations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Military/DoD or federal financial management experience is highly desirable.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, etc.).
