An IT - Application Specialist (Atlassian) at Aptos is responsible for the administration and management of Aptos Atlassian Jira and Confluence systems along with the support of integrations with other systems. The role holder provides complex technical support to ensure application and system availability. This includes problem diagnosis and resolution, designing implementing and maintaining custom workflows, screens, and dashboards as well as related applications and components. The role holder may also be required to assist and support the wider team with systems and infrastructure outside of the Atlassian systems as and when required.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain, manage, and administer Atlassian Jira and Confluence systems.
- Design, implement and maintain custom workflows, screens, dashboards, fields, permission schemes, post functions, etc.
- Provide support and escalation in response to issues as required by the business, potentially including out-of-business hours, ensuring SLA and resolution times are adhered to and correct escalation paths are appropriately followed.
- Perform requirements gathering, create and manage standardized business process workflows, and continuously drive process improvement in the toolset and processes.
- Configure and manage sandbox as well as production instances, perform routine application upgrades and new product evaluation.
- Develop and maintain integrations between Jira/Confluence and other systems.
- Collaborate closely with key business stakeholders to define requirements and solutions.
- Assess changes to ensure minimum impact to not only the platforms you are responsible for but any platforms or business processes that interact with your area of responsibility.
- Ensure any work undertaken is in line with the Internal IT strategy and in compliance with Aptos, change management, security, and regulatory standards.
- Provide daily monitoring of scheduled tasks and integrations taking appropriate action on failures.
- Manage and coordinate Atlassian application licensing requirements.
- Define, update, and implement IT/Application policies, procedures, and processes.
Requirements:
- Experience in implementing and managing Atlassian tool suite in an enterprise environment.
- Outstanding customer service skills and an ability to work with all levels of management.
- Proficient in project Setups, JIRA Reporting, Report Filters, and Dashboard creation.
- Ability to write custom JQL (Jira Query Language).
- Expert level tool administration knowledge on JIRA, and proficiency in Atlassian tool suite.
- Extensive experience of Jira and Confluence from an IT administration standpoint.
- Understanding of agile development methodology.
- Can provide on-going systems and technical support for the Jira and Confluence systems.
- Experience with Cloud environments as well as On-Prem environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Must be able to take direction, manage priorities, and perform tasks with minimal supervision.
- M365 and MS SharePoint administration experience is a plus.
- Minimal (less than 10%) travel may be required to other Aptos facilities.
The pay range for this position is between $60,000 and $80,000 plus Incentive Bonus. Starting salary may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
