Role Definition
To evaluate and implement proposed changes or additions to systems and infrastructure components including hardware, operating systems, platforms and networking devices. Assist more experienced infrastructure or system deployment and support personnel in developing or deploying solutions. Integrate developed or purchased solutions with Caterpillar infrastructure and systems in a manner compliant with Information Security and Enterprise Architecture standards.
Responsibilities:

• Maintaining and creating scheduled jobs using Tidal.
• Provide onsite support/coordination for LAN/WAN equipment upgrades and installations.
• Provide support for communications equipment (ie. IP phones, Teams devices, etc.)
• Build and maintain relationships with technology vendors, service providers, and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate all purchasing activities for Mississippi Reman IT department.
• Maintain Disaster Plans for Mississippi Reman IT department.
• Provide onsite Cybersecurity communications under the direction of our corporate Information Security Officer.
• Manage relationship with internal and external suppliers, such as HP, Enterprise network, servers, and security teams.

SKILLS:

• Technical Analysis: Knowledge of the concepts, methodologies, and activities in technical analysis; ability to forecast the direction of technical landscape using technical indicators and take collective actions.
• Technical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.
• Hardware Infrastructure: Knowledge of computer architecture and systems programming; ability to design, build and integrate IT hardware into multi-platforms for the organization.
• System Testing: Knowledge of system and software testing; ability to design, plan and execute system testing strategies and tactics to ensure the quality of software at all stages of the system life cycle.

Top candidates will also have:

• The incumbent should be knowledgeable of the current technology and methods in infrastructure requirements, computing hardware and operating system environments, and current deployment processes and tools.
• Job Scheduling (Tidal preferred)
• Cisco Network Equipment Support
• MS Office Products
• File Transfer Protocol (NDM, SFTP, etc.)
• Strong Interpersonal Skills
