IT SYSTEMS ANALYST

Job Summary:
The System Analyst demonstrates at least a basic knowledge and competence in regard to primary and secondary functions of the position. The System Analyst works directly with a department to maintain, optimize, and update their information systems. The System Analyst is the technical expert on all systems within a department, which includes responsibilities such as system administration, system optimization, vendor management, process automation, and acting as an overall tech advisor to the department. Although the role is part of the Information Technology team, the role works closely with a specific department and requires strong interpersonal skills to communicate technology concepts to non-technical audiences and influence department leadership on technology decisions. This position is located in Jackson, Mississippi.
Primary and Essential Functions

• Manage existing information systems within a department, which may include system and server administration, but mainly involves managing SaaS systems and maintaining configuration documentation
• Manage system vendors to ensure department and HOPE are supported; includes due diligence process, system and vendor assessments, managing vendors to SLAs, and general vendor management
• Work with a department to find new and replacement systems and rollout new solutions
• Work with a department to help them understand how technology enables their department and drive efforts to optimize existing technology systems
• Drive new process automation and integration projects with a department to minimize duplicate and manual work (may include RPA, DevOps, Analytics, or other solutions)
• Coordinate across technology teams (DevOps, Infrastructure, Data Analytics, Technology Services) to ensure new solutions, updates, and system modifications are supported (and even optimized) for underlying data and IT infrastructure
• Ensure department information systems adhere to all IT policies (Security, Network, etc.)
• Act as trusted 'tech advisor' and provide input on new and existing information systems and technology to the department

Secondary Functions

• Stay up to date on department technology roadmap and overall IT strategy in order to best serve the department and advise on technology planning
• Assist with technology planning through ongoing research
• Assist End User Support team as necessary

• Demonstrated knowledge of windows servers and desktop products
• Demonstrated knowledge of current communications devices and protocols, servers, and desktop technologies
• Demonstrated knowledge of supporting/configuring/deploying SaaS products

Desired Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Two years of previous experience as a system administrator, analyst, or other relevant IT system/customer support roles
• Experience in financial environments is desired
• Process automation experience desired
• Project Management experience desired
