The IT Analyst for Databases will work with business customers to design and implement information systems to optimize organizational efficiencies. Conducting research and providing advice to other informatics professionals regarding the selection, application, and implementation of database management tools. The IT Analyst will also support business process review and improvement initiatives.
Essential Functions
- Stay current with system information, changes, and updates.
- Support for the internal and external financial auditing processes.
- Designing and developing database architecture for information systems projects
- Designing, constructing, modifying, integrating, implementing, and testing data models and database management systems
- Providing the initial QC of data entered databases
- Collecting and managing field test data
- Service and maintain all aspects of the ERP systems
- Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve system performance issues
- Develop and support SQL Server, related databases, and data warehouses.
- Upgrade systems to enable compatible software
- Provide Help Desk support as needed based on current business needs
- Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, chat, or email.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose different technical issues and recommend technical fixes
- Accurately log all help desk interactions in Spiceworks system
- Work with stakeholders to gather business requirements, develop and analyze functional specifications
- Perform adequate functional and unit testing
Qualifications and Requirements
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related field
Experience:
- 3-5 years experience supporting business applications
- 1-3 years SQL experience
- 1-3 years of Great Plains experience
- 1-3 years of Database experience
Specific Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of databases, system security and troubleshooting
- Understanding of business practices
- Excellent communication skills
- Analytical/Problem solving aptitude
