Job description

Boehringer-Ingelheim looking for a highly motivated individual to join our global IT Operations & Laboratories Site Security team. You will have a key role in the development, maintenance and support of the systems and processes that support the physical security for our sites globally. The IT OperationsSite Security Analyst will bring critical thinking skills and the ability to influence individuals and teams across business functions. As a member of the IT O&L Site Security team you will be working with a global team dedicated to support the physical security of BI's people and facilities. You will be leveraging your technical know-how, background and experience while building expertise with enterprise security tools and industry best practices to support security operations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Site Security and local operations on vulnerability management and patch cycles
  • With guidance of IT colleagues, understand and analyze business processes and needs
  • Analyze requirements and present possible solutions or improvements
  • You will work with peers internal and external to the organization to ensure that the security solutions are functioning properly and identify opportunities for improvement
  • With guidance, identify, assess, and prioritize IT risks to corporate data and systems, including external threats, internal threats, and exposure to third-party vulnerabilities
  • Partner with GFE Security colleagues to evaluate new technologies and tools
  • Perform baseline system support, administrative and maintenance duties for assigned systems
  • Troubleshoot application and system problems and take corrective actions
  • Support goals by participating on project teams
  • Deliver on assigned tasks and action items
  • Produce documentation as assigned in support of baseline and project activities.
  • Support documentation of operational processes
  • Support of physical security platforms. This includes but is not limited to:
    • Video Surveillance, Site Access & CCTV
    • Endpoint detection and response.
    • Intrusion Detection and Prevention monitoring.
    • Monitor, prioritize and react to signals coming out of our security tools.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, MIS or relevant coursework with 0-2 years of experience; or a minimum of 2 years relevant Business or IT experience
  • Computer networking fundamentals
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware
  • Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems
  • Basic level of technical understanding and demonstrated knowledge for their area of responsibility.
  • Computer programming and/or system configuration experience preferred
  • Knowledge of project management fundamentals
  • Knowledge of system development life cycle methodology preferred
  • Good understanding of the common network security concepts including TCP/IP protocol stack, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, WAF, VPN
  • Compensation: This position offers a base salary typically between $53,000.00 and $98,000.00 USD. There is opportunity to consider higher compensation above this range based on business need, candidate experience and or skills.   • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
  • Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
