Position: Islamic Studies Teacher

Position Overview: We are seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Islamic Studies Teacher to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Islamic teachings, a passion for Islamic education, and the ability to inspire and engage students in their faith-based learning journey.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver comprehensive and engaging Islamic Studies curriculum that covers a range of topics including Quranic studies, Fiqh, Hadith, Sirah, Tarikh, Aqaid, Adab, and Akhlaq.
• Create a supportive and respectful classroom environment where students feel empowered to explore and deepen their understanding of Islamic principles and values.
• Incorporate a variety of instructional methods, resources, and activities to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Foster critical thinking and discussion among students, encouraging them to reflect on and apply Islamic teachings to their lives.
• Organize and facilitate Islamic events, activities, and assemblies to promote Islamic awareness and foster a sense of community among students.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and community members to integrate Islamic values into all aspects of school life and curriculum.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to students, serving as a positive role model and source of support in their spiritual and personal development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Islamic Studies, Islamic Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Strong knowledge of Islamic theology, jurisprudence, and history, as well as proficiency in Quranic recitation and memorization.
• Previous teaching experience in Islamic education, preferably at the elementary or secondary level.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students in their faith-based learning journey.
• Commitment to the mission and values of Woodbridge Islamic School, including promoting Islamic identity, character development, and ethical behavior.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and community members to support the holistic development of students.
• Proficiency in integrating technology and multimedia resources into Islamic Studies instruction to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
