Landscape Sprinkler Install lead/Repair Tech: We're currently looking for career-oriented individual(s) with both sprinkler installation and repair skills to assist with residential estate sprinkler installation and trouble shooting. Our ideal candidate likes working outdoors - keeping mentally sharp problem solving plumbing and low voltage electrical issues - communicating directly with customers – working Monday – Friday 6:30 to 3:00 with an opportunity for overtime. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 5 years experience with either sprinkler installation or repair work. Typing skills are also needed as techs invoice their work daily through laptops. The ideal candidate enjoys working mostly solo on repairs but with a team for the installations. Backflow certification is a huge plus but not required.

Compensation: Lead techs earn up to $110 K per year with overtime and commissions. Unlimited voluntary overtime is available throughout the growing season allowing techs to heavily supplement their earnings if they choose. Start time is 6:30 at the shop in the Overlake area of Bellevue/Redmond – 1st appointment is at 7:00 last appointment ends at 3:00. Family medical and vision is through Kaiser Medical Gold plan – Dental is through Delta and vision is also included. Other benefits include 4 weeks of holiday and vacation/sick pay – including a week off between Christmas and New Year’s. Two weeks of accrued paid vacation/ sick leave to start. Additional weeks of paid vacation/commission are earned off the sales and management of your trucks inventory. Commissions range from 2 to 6 weeks equivalent of pay. Possessing a backflow testing license is a huge plus ++++ and automatically pays more per hour but is not required. Lead techs are assigned a truck – phone - laptop and a helper to tech to assist them if desired.

Additional Qualifications:

Understands the basics of distribution uniformity.

Comprehends pipe sizing, G.P.M. flow rates, and velocity.

Recognizes hydra-zone issues sun/shade, plant, slope, soil structure.

Identifies and recognizes soil types and field capacity.

Able to repair & assembly PVC – and Poly pipe and fittings.

Install sprinklers properly in relation to grade, sidewalks, driveways and structures.

Irrigation valves – ability to trouble shoot and repair replace and install solenoid operated irrigation control valves.

Be familiar with programming and operation of sprinkler controllers.

Consistently shows up for work on time at the assigned location. If unable to work, notifies the Supervisor immediately.

May direct/lead the work of 1-3 laborers.

Reports unsafe work conditions, or practices to the Supervisor immediately.

The job is performed outdoors in all weather conditions.

Ability to lift 50 lbs. of weight frequently throughout the day.

Able to work in various positions including, but not limited to, standing, walking, stooping, bending, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extending periods.

Capacity to work with and assist crew members. Ability to deal courteously with the public.

Knowing the watering needs and names of local plants is a huge benefit but not required.
